Only in Alberta!
Black and White.
Ready to combine.

One of the most beautiful pictures I've seen in my life. Black And White! Maybe I'm wired but I mean it! Thank you! (I'm so bloody tired of all kind of racism...and I still can't understand why we still talking about that?) Fri 17-Oct-2003 21:28

British Columbia's forest fires.

Picture taken by my Aunty Dot's and Uncle Ian
BC fires were really bad this summer. Not really because there were more of them, but because they were so close to major cities and countless homes.

My Aunt and Uncle have a house on Vasaux Lake and a fire got extremely close to them. Too close. Just across the highway in fact. Apparently this fire had started from a nest that was made on top of a transformer line. The transformer blew and so did the power to this small community. As the fire grew closer they couldn't even pump water from the lake to protect their homes as there was no electricity! Talk about scary. In the end the fire ended up going back up the hill instead of jumping the highway. Thank the wind in this case I guess.

I am so gratefull to whatever Gods were looking over my family that day. So many people lost their homes and belongings to fire this summer. I cannot even imagine not going to visit them on that little piece of paradise they call home.

i know it was bad... after we left the fires go worse... but they had not reached kelowna... its such a pretty place. spend a couple days there... when i visited BC this summer... Fri 24-Oct-2003 23:51

So like any good parent would do, I'm posting pictures of my kids! Juda (all black) is the oldest at 16. Jasper (black and white) comes in at 12yrs and finally Squeegy (white and grey) is AROUND 5-6? She was a stray that found us so we are not positive on her age. Squeegy is quite the character and very photogenic so you will see pics of her from time to time.

ooohh... kitties... such beauties... heeellllooo... meowies... k... bye...purrr.... Fri 24-Oct-2003 23:48

Mundare, Alberta

Me trying to get at the kubasa!
Beautiful Alberta!
So on our way home from Lac Sante this weekend we stopped in Mundare to clean the bugs off the winsheild. The town of Mundare is well known for their sausage. So, what do you do when kubasa has put your name on the map? Why, the city builds a monument of course!

I have the priviledge of feasting my eyes on this amazing view everyday! I live on the 11th floor of a highrise building and love absolutely every minute of it!

The last photo is actually the 3 others stitched together using Adobe Photoshop Elements. It was my first crack at using the program so I have some tweaking to do!

Great job on the Panaramic veiw! Uespecially for a first time photoshopper. I have always been told it is beautiful in Canada, but never shown thank you for sharing that Beauty. Wed 6-Aug-2003 15:03

This is my Nanna's new puppy Peaches. She is just the most adorable thing...well not thing...she's a Shitzu! These pictures were all taken recently when I was on holidays for a family wedding at Vaseux Lake, BC (outside of Penticton).

This is a very adorable shihtzu. You may have some competition.... My shihtzu brought home one of the few prizes at a Pooch Parade in NJ. She was dressed up as a crab. I'll send you a picture of my shihtzu if you give me an email! Wed 24-Sep-2003 17:10

Steve Erkle or Pee Wee Herman?
On the boardwalk
The beach
These were taken by my brother at Lakelse Lake in British Columbia. The lake lies between Kitimat (my hometown) and Terrace. The weather has been extremely hot and this is one good way to beat the heat!
